Angry ramair or cai

Ram air or cai which one is better.I have a k&n fipk and the filter keeps falling off.
Want to try something else, maybe the ls1 lid if i can get it to fit under the stock hood. Any suggestions?

Re: ramair or cai

If you really want to get down to it, it will make no significant difference which one you go with.

Whichever your heart desires. It really wont matter at all.

Do a search... this has been debated over the years.

Re: ramair or cai

Are you tightening the clamp on the filter too tight? If it's put on too tight, the clamp will just squeeze the filter off of the CAI ducting.

You probably won't notice any difference between ram air/cold air.

Re: ramair or cai

either or is fine as long as it isn't the SS hood. there is no "ram air" effect when the air intake is on the deadest spot of the hood...

This is the reason I think the K&N CAI is junk, due to the plastic connecting tube. I once had a MTI which was plastic too and the filter fell off all the time.

Get the AS&M or the Moroso CAI, they both have a metal connecting tube which allows you to really tighten the filter down with complete piece of mind. I have the AS&M and I really like it, I have also had the Moroso too.
