ram air strait

I was thinking about getting a hood for my car with an opening in the front. I have one person tell me with his car with bolt ons and a hot cam tell me that he change the hood to a front opening and went to the WS6 ram air style intake and picked up 2 tenths and 1.5 mph and all after the 1/8 over his SLP cai. I was thinking maybe it helps cause living in florida in the day after driving to the track and making a pass I cant touch my cold air slp intake. Do you all think that a strait in WS6 style ram air ould be worth the mod since I am buying the hood anyway? 2nd question. Could I spray dry since its a strait shot?

You will hear both answers. I would tell you that with my car with the baffels removed is better than a CAI kit. Just my opinion.

Well, since your going to change the hood. Midas well make it look better with a ram air hood. Your going to get both side here. I do think a straight shot is the best shot.

Re: ram air strait

I would also say go with the ram air setup. While you may not get much of a "RamAir" effect, it is a much shorter and straighter shot, with less time to heat up from underhood temps.
