Radio Shack blows. Help me find a resistor to bypass knock sensor!

No local radio shack has a 1W 3.9k resistor. Could anyone buy one and ship it to me and I'll pay you some cash or something, I desperately need this thing in by saturday.

Just use a 1/2 watt or whatever they have. It will work.

I know this is an old thread, but can someone tell me or show a pic of where you install the resistor. My car is picking up a LOT of false knock.

Re: Radio Shack blows. Help me find a resistor to bypass knock sensor!

Why do you guys go through that much trouble??
You can make adjustments w/ LT1 edit or Tunercat.
Basically adjusting the amount of timing the knock modules pulls out.
If you dont have a editing software at hand, it appears you need a tune or someone that can tune it since youre gettin knock counts.
Unless you have a Solid roller cam.
Make the changes in your PCM.
What are these advantages to this mod??
Arent the LT4 modules alittle more tone deaf anyway?

the advantages are pretty obvious. You bypass FALSE knock with a resistor that costs less than a $1.

Or you bypass REAL knock and Detonate.
How does this resistor determine real knock from False?
Not to mention I have tuner cat software.
As cheap as this software and interface cables are or even building your own cables, I dont know why more people dont have it. All it take is a little homework and alot of trial and eror.
All I did was minimize the amount of timing taking out due to the knock.
