ok sorry bout the random title..i have 100k on my camaro.. my buddy has a machine in his auto shop at school that will suck out all the old antifreeze in my engine... i plan on replacing it with the prestone extended life coolent..but my ? is this..is it worth putting a bottle of prestone cooling system flush in and driving for a few days before changing my antifreeze or no? also i have bbk headers on my lt1 and the [EDIT] bolts keep coming loose and causing me to blow gaskets...whats the best locking bolt kit for my engine that wont break/bust when torqued to spec?? please leave brand/part number and or a link!! thanks for all the help guys! i love my new camaro and all the cool after market parts and the whole camaro community!
lol also my brake fluid is dark black.. if i do a brake system flush do you think it will stop my abs light from randomly poppin on? my breaks seem to work fine!! ( i plan on doing a flush anyways whats the best brake fluid to use?)

Cooling system cleaner might not be a bad idea after 100k--you do want to flush it out well with water afterwards though, including through the heater core. As for the brakes, I don't know much about the functioning of the ABS on these cars (proud owner of a 1989 chassis) but black brake fluid CANNOT be good. Definitely at least flush it, and I'd consider a master cylinder rebuild while you're at it.

When you flush, drain and refill the radiator turn your heater on so that you get flow though the heater core. If your brakes are working fine? You don't NEED to rebuild anything! Just do the drain and refill first.
