pop off the sway bar, spare tire/jack, and any other junk you may have in there. Drop the pressure in your tires, 25 or so if they are normal street radials, and if you think its the cat lose that too for a day!

I ran this week with the mods below on 2.73's and she put down a 13.7

Fix your miss, then go to the track.Pretty simple. How can you expect to get any kind of decent base times?

Don't go to the track with a miss, not a smart idea at all.

As joe above mentioned, fix your problem, then go to the track.

As far as what's causing it, a miss can be caused by just about anything.

There are several culprits for a miss: plug wire, actual plug, fuel injector, a vacuum leak to name a few...I would fix that before even attempting to race.

Check to see if your plug wires are secured or not broken etc as this will cause off idle miss and once you get it fixed then go to track, otherwise your just wasting money.

well, we found the problem with a miss he was havin. after he ran. since we didnt drop anything when we re-did the plug wires, and plugged the boots onto the plugs from the top, he had the boot for the #6 plug on a manifold bolt..causing a miss and obvious arching.. so he ran a 14.8 on 7 cylinders.. what should we expect on all 8? could we be lookin 13s with full MSD, exhaust, intake, shift kit, take the sway bar off, and run slicks?

A plug on the manifold bolt.. that'll definitely do it. At least it was a simple fix.

13's would be VERY possible as long as the car is running good.

yea like I said, I ran a 13.7 with everything in my sig, if his car runs like mine does and you throw on some decent tires it will turn in some good times!
