Quick Throttle Body Question.

I am going to get my tb ported to 52mm to prepare for my new cam and heads setup. I found a shop to port them for $90, but what about the blades. I have been searching on this subject and they say you will have a 2mm gap...how do you correct that? Is there a place I can buy new blades??? Or what do you suggest??? Thanks a ton.

Try Force Fuel Injection http://force-efi.com/
If they can't help you I know a guy who builds custom carbs and throttle bodies. I'm sure he could get you the blades you need. Let me know and I'll get with him or you can.

thanks a ton mindgame! I emailed Force Fuel Injection and will let you know what they have to say. Do you know what a round about price would be on the blades? Thanks again. JOHN

I have no idea on that penny but I can make a call and find out real easy. Give me about an hour and I'll get back with you.

penny,

You're looking at $18 for the blades + s&h.

That should give you an idea for comparisons. Just give me a shout if you're interested.

Thanks a lot Mindgame. I am waiting to hear back from FFI. I don't really understand what I am to do with the blades. Do I send them to the guy that is going to port my tb so he can match them...or what? What about the new seal that will go between the tb and intake...should the porter give me one or do I need to buy one. Thanks for all the info...this is kind of a pain because my brand new in the box holley got stolen out of my backseat...taught me a lesson. Thanks again. JOHN

Cool

Blades have to be 52mm also and the bores have to be exact or you will experience binding. There is quite some work to remove the shaft and get things back together properly also.
