Quick SEAFOAM question
Quick SEAFOAM question
I'm cleaning my cylinders as directed in http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showth...hlight=seafoam but I had some differences. After I removed the brake booster hose and tried to start the car it idled reeeealy low and actually died a few times. According to the article it should've idled high. The article reads as if the seamfoam my cause the engine to die, but it actually increased my idle. Also when I added the Seafoam to the hose (with a funnel of course) the car actually "burped" and white smoke came out of the funnel. I was reading everything as the smoke should come out of the tailpipes.
I stopped the process until I'm sure everythings OK since it's differing so much from the article. Can I get a confirmation that my experiance is normal?

OK, I searched and think I found the answer in the LS1 article. I finished the job and it still occationally "burped" at me. I pour the last bit in quickly and it didn't die so I turned it off. It sat 15 minutes and I hooked everything back up and restarted it. Big poof of white smoke then nothing. Idled for 15 then took it for a spin
. I think I saw one poof when I gunned it from a stop once but thats it.
I actually had a bit of a "warble" when I hit the gas slightly (taking off at a slow speed) that disappears at higher speeds or after a few minutes of run time. I was told it mat be carbon build-up, but it was still there. I did notice a better idle though.
