Question Quick question timing ? from new guy.

Is it possible that my timing might be off after having a new motor put in? I was told by Pep boys that My 1994 Z28 A4 has electronic timing and the computer will adjust it automatically is this true or what?, My needles blast through the RPM'S but the power does not match it. Chiltons manual said to check my timing. Thanx for any inputs still new to the game. I was a former ricer, who has seen the light.

The timing is controlled by the computer. There are no "adjustments" other than re-programming. Maybe more description of your problem would help.
