Quick question on rocker install!

I'm installing Pro Mag's as we speak, now... when you bolt them down "hand-tight," does that mean to just screw the locks down as far as they go without force or to actually tighten them as much as you can with your hand?? I know the pushrod is supposed to be able to spin... How freely should it spin?

And when tightened down, just tighten the lock down with an alan wrench and finit? Thanks in advance!

I've lived through this. My suggestion is to adjust the rockers with the engine RUNNING. Tighten them until you can still spin the pushrod FREELY, and then start the engine. Do one rocker at a time...Loosen it until you hear an audible tap, and then slowly tighten it. Once it gets "quiet", go 1/8-1/2 turn more (I went 1/8). Once you have them all adjusted, shut the motor down and tighten all your locks (allen screws).

Make sure you put some wet rags or something over the headers to keep the oil off them.

I adjusted them according to shoebox's writeup. But if they're not right, I'll adjust them with the car running; if I can get the car running!
