Quick question reguarding altenators

What are the symptoms of one going out? I talked to IrocManiac and he said my symptoms were the same as his buddys who had one go out.

- Noticed "Check Gauges"
- Slowed Down, Made RH Turn
- No Powersteering!?!?!
- Checked Gauges, low voltage

Also, my turn signals were going much slower and it seemed my stereo didn't have as much juice.

Take it to Autozone and have it tested.

If you have a volt meter or multi-meter, check the dc voltage at the battery with the engine running. Should be around 14V.

- No Powersteering!?!?!

did you check under your hood to see if the belt may have snapped. if you are losing voltage at the gage and your having a hard time steering at the same time i would check the belt cuz without it your a/c p/s and alt wont work

I didn't check yet, I'm going to in a sec. I didn't have the a/c on but I noticed the turn signals were slow and what not also and my voltage was reading pretty low. I'm pretty confident it is the Altenator.
