To reduce false knock caused by roller rockers. False knock should not be an issue on a stock LT1 engine. Mods like roller rockers, headers can cause false knock that can kill performance. You need some datalogging software to see if you have a knock issue, then you need to determine if it is false knock or not. That's usally done but running a higher octane fuel to see if the knock is reduced.

because the lt1 knock module is so sensitive if you have roller rockers(because roller rockers are noiser) it will read false knock and retard the timing and you will lose horsepower. the lt4 knock module is made for a roller rocker engine.

You need someone's scanmaster ($230) to figure out if you've got false knock or not.
