If you notice in the information sheet at comp cams regarding that cam. It would appear it's a top end cam not a low rpm torque type cam. So unless you are interested in circle track racing, it's probably not for you. Most of us stop light racers want low rpm torque.

Don't just jump to the bottom of the page when it comes to cams.

That cam tested on a stock shortblock with Lingenfelter heads had not yet peaked when the pcm ran out of rpm at 7000rpms.

Comp's rpm ranges are WAY lower than reality, making some of their spring recommendations incorrect too.

On a stock shortblock you need to keep duration under 230. If you want a Comp look at the comp 503.

The XFI stuff is hard on valvetrain and doesn't really make great power either.

Look for posts by "fergymoto" on LS1tech, he was the one who tried it on a stock shortblock.

Currently he is running the AI 226/234, he will freely admit that XFI grind was WAY too big.
