Quick MAF question.

Ok. I was having a lot of black smoke coming from my exhuast. which right now is headers and y-pipe. Of course the more i revved the more black smoke i got. So i took out the 6 month old gas that was in there and put a differant MAF sensor on. Then flabam no more black smoke. Was my MAF screwed up or was it the old gas that was causing the black smoke? Either way it runs tons better and revs alot smoother. The engine still backfired when i rev it fast but thats prolly bc of the open headers i was told. Thanks for the input, Dustin.

Re: Quick MAF question.

i'd say the bad gas
just clean up your old maf sensor with some electrical parts cleaner and throw it on
it should do just as fine as the other one
