Quick Help please!

just got back from the shop and they said that ill need a whoel new distributor & cap & rotor and i have read before that most of the time all you need is a cap and rotor but the car does have about 170K someone know if i need just the cap and rotor or i should do the whole thing

I have always heard its better just to get a new opti. Somebody on here can get them for $240 plus or minus. Not a bad deal. It also depends on if you have the vented or non-vented opti.

Do the whole thing. It isn't too much more if you do it yourself so you might as well do it all while you are in there. I think I purchased my complete opti for around $270 and the cap and rotor were in the $150 range when I priced them.
