quick help!! jegs guy might not now what he was talking about "header gasket"

i asked for the fel pro 1406 "their number is 375-1406 i belive" and said they will not work on my 95 trans am with edelbrock headers..he said they were for fast burn, brodix heads.. so i ordered the mr gasket ultra seals.. not copper..should i cancel and re order? he said the number for my car was 375 1470 i belive

never, EVER talk to the idiots on the tech lines at Summit or Jegs when trying to get advice on parts. if they really knew what they were talking about, do you think they would be answering phones and processing orders for $7 an hour?

yes, the Felpro 1406 are correct for your car. the part # he gave you is for the exact same type of gasket, just they shrunk the ports some, labeled them for the LT1 and are charging twice as much. the ports on the 1470 gasket he suggested would likely be too small for a ported LT1 head port, and even if they werent i would still use the 1406's just for the fact that they cost half as much and are the exact same material

should i just stick with the mr gaskets i ordered or exchange it for the 1406's.. so the 1406's would work fine on my stock heads? thanks matt

the Mr Gasket ultra-seals you ordered will be fine, i wouldnt bother sending them back since the price isnt too bad on them. just dont ever use the regular paper Mr Gasket gaskets

1407 is for "round" ports. 1406 is for "D" ports which you should have.

Summit number is FPP 1406
