Quick header question

This question is for anyone who has dynoed with any aftermarket headers on a lt1. just wondering what rpms your peak hp and torque was at.

when you install headers
do you have to tune you car or play with the computer

Peak hp at 4800 or so before the headers, moved to around 5300 after headers. This is with stock heads / cam.

You don't have to do a tune after a header install. But if you do, it can help realize potential gains from the new exhaust flow. If you are planning other mods in the near future such as a cam, heads, etc., you could wait until after those are done. I plan to get my car dyno'd one of these wekends after the tune was done to see what the gains were from just that.
