quick dual exhaust question(s)
quick dual exhaust question(s)
i ordered jet hot LT's and i am know wondering how im going to do exhaust. I really want to do my exhaust like kmooks ( xpipe with bullet dumps). he said there isnt anymore ground clearance probs than the headers themselves, but I am wondering how it looks from the outside. i dont want my exhaust sticking out from under the bottom of the car where everyone can see it. i think that looks trashy. if i run that setup do yall think it would be hanging way down low to where you could see it if you where next to or behind my car? Also, what size pipes should i use? thanks alot.
You could just buy mine from me. It's practically brand new. Only probably 1k miles on the setup. Changing over to dynatech headers and a mufflex exhaust.... so if you're interested let me know. I'm in houston so we could probably arange things fairly easily... Pics are in the sig...

You can tuck 3" duals just fine. I had to clearence the floor pan a little for the cats and the cutouts, but since it doesnt look like you are going to bother with those, then it shouldnt be a problem...
cost new....
2 Random Tech bullet cat's - 300
then another 500 in labor and shop supply's.
Fitment is very nice. Tucks up in there very well. Ground clearance isn't bad. Like you were told, the clearance issues are up at the collectors. So it really has nothing to do with the exhaust. This is one of the reasons I am going with the dynatechs. I am told they have beter ground clearance...
The sound of this setup is quite unreal. You wouldn't expect it from looking at the pics, but it's really a trick setup. The cats were put on for an attempt at being legal appearing... and also for the sound muffling. Then inside the pipes we built in 24" of baffles (on each side) that take away all the crackle and leave a very very nicely toned exhaust note out the pipes. I actually hate to get rid of it for that reason, because it sounds unlike anything I've ever heard before. it's very awesome. You would need to put new tips on it because the ones on there are somewhat chipped up since I used to live on a gravel road, but otherwise the exhaust is in excellent condition. If you're interested make me an offer and I'll see what we can do...
