questions: oil capacity & hotspotted flywheel

couple questions:

1. What is the exact oil fill capacity (w/ filter change) for a 95 LT1? I put around 5.25 every oil change.

2. I have clutch chatter that tranny shops say is due to a hotspotted/warped flywheel and clutch. Is it harmful to drive the car like this? How about at wot?

Thanks, Brian

I put around 5.5 quarts, I have a little bigger filter than stock though, should be like 5 or so. As for the chatter, is this a stock clutch, if so and it has alot of miles on it, that might not be too good, but if it's new, some chatter a bit....

I think the worst you'll do is wear the stock clutch faster. I don't think it will harm anything else, except your nerves.

oil sounds right on, thanks.

about the clutch chatter, it is a stock clutch with 60k mi on it. i bought the car at 55k and learned how to drive stickshift on it; it was fine until an uphill traffic jam which burned it up pretty good

so now it chatters/shudders, could this damage the driveline or engine at wot due to more vibrations?

uh oh if so, but if not, i have some time to save $ for a new clutch *sigh*
