Question on unplugging my MAF.........

I was talkin to a guy at the gas station in Sac today and he said when he unplugged his MAF it made all the difference in the world. He said the car was a monster after that. By doing this wouldnt the car just be running on speed density (or MAP)? I was thinking bout doin this just for grins to see if it did anything. would this mess with the PCM? I know it would for sure throw a SES light. but would the PCM have to "relearn" everything? and wouldnt this take some time? i aint got no work to do and no work on the car to do, so im bored as hell. im not expecting anyting outta this but im feeling "tinkery." is this gonna screw anything up?

But in the spirit of fellowship - I say "go for it" you will not screw things up, as you know '93 cars are fuel density and if you see great improvment that will just tell you that your car is ...
