That would explain the poor results - totally incorrect procedure. Per the above post, read what Shoebox has on his website.

Helpful hint - your engine is ovebored 0.030", not .30

All opinions about your compression test results were based on the assumption you did it correctly. Might be time to redo it.

Here is what happened we found there was 3 wires that for some reason i think cuz of the headders were not snapped on all the way... and one brand new wire was broke so therefore i was running on 4 cylinders...

Finished putting it all together and actually my car has some power that i didn't know it had... Only thing is new exhuast goes on monday... And computer tune hopefully this week.... Only thing is the throttle has a slow response anyone know if this is where the computer tune will come in handy? Or is there something else possibly that is giving me the slow throttly response...

Glad the problems were simpler but just for reference a properly running high mileage stock LT1 will still crank over 190psi, modified motors with higher static compression for NA power I would expect to crank even higher.

The car wont run right without a tune so a cookie cutter parts replacing shop wont be able to help. You will just confuse them.

Running a racecar does not mean knowledgable about LT1s. I had a guy involved in ProStock tell me you can't ruin anything tighter than a 112LSA in an LT1 because the computer couldn't handle the overlap. It didn't matter atall to him that a LOT of us do this without any issue. He was involved in ProStock and "knew" more.

I hope your guy is good, just saying knowledgale in one area often leads to missplaced confidence in other areas.

He seems to know what he is talking about ran a shop for 16 plus years he builds his own race cars and works on tons of engines for people around this area...

I do have a new problem my transmission just started today not shifting into 3rd gear no clue why it was working flawlessly before any ideas of what that might have happened now?

It shifts but its like its not going into gear...once it shifts into third gear i mise well be in neutral cuz thats what it feels like and it will free rev.
