Question Question on cam/heads install.

I am planning on installing a CC306 w/ stage 2 heads. The first question is what kind of oil would you guys use to break this in? I normally use Mobil 1 10W30 but I am not sure what to use to break it in with. Also, I have read somewhere that you are suppose to soak new lifters in oil before the install is that true? Thanks for the answers and anymore tips that you can think of to make this go smooth are appreciated.

Thanks,
Chad

Hydraulic rollers dont require a break in.Your valves and spring do thou.Just use what you normally would and chane it after a good drive. As for the lifters, yes soak em.Good luck with your new 'monster'.

Thanks, how long should I soak them I plan on getting the oil tomorrow? I am guessing that 3 days is enough time for them to soak.

Just use some regular dino oil for anout 400-500 miles then switch back to Mobile1 with new filter. A good over night soaking will do.
