do i have to have the timing cover and etc off to change the oil pan seal ? I want to do it without having to take off all that stuff , can i ? just drop the pan and redo it from there? the pan is empty, never had oil in it. harder, ok ? thanks

The LT1 oil pan drops straight down and you do not need to remove the timing chain cover. I'm not sure about your clearance between the oil pan and the cross member. You may need to raise the motor or drop the cross member to gain clearance.
