Question about Wilwood Brakes
Will this brake kit Wilwood F-Body 6 Piston Brake Kit fit with the stock rims, or would I need to upgrade to larger rims?

You definitely have to go with 17" rims for that kit. I know the Firehawk and ZR1 style will clear them, not sure what others will. One question though, why are you looking at those in particular? They are a very nice looking kit, but there are several other options available for less money. I looked at those myself, but decided for several reasons not to go with them. Instead I ended up just doing an LS1 f-body front brake setup, and may go to the C5 rotors if I need the extra capacity for roadracing. The Wilwood kit has smaller pads than the LS1/C5 calipers, and also has no dust boots so you'll end up rebuilding the calipers more often.

Just based on my recent driving I came to the conclusion that the stock brake system isn't anything to brag about. Feels like the pads burn up pretty quickly, might just be with driving habits though. I just want to upgrade the brakes to something moderately better than stock.

You need a 17" rim or larger. They cleared my stock WS6 rims perfectly. There is about 2mm between the caliper and the rim spokes There is no comparison between the stopping power of these brakes and the stock ones. These are capable of locking the front wheels at 120km/h!

It's somewhat piecemeal and there are two different options.
Option 1: Bob Bishop's front adaptor brackets and C5 hardware. He makes the adaptor brakets that will allow you to bolt up the C5 calipers and rotors. Email him at lateapex@charter.net
You then buy your own calipers, rotors and pads. Total cost should be right around $800-$900. This setup will work on either LT1 or LS1 front brakes. The only problems with this setup is that you can not go back to stock as you have to cut the spindle are (not a big deal), and the calipers say "Corvette" on them (of course that can be fixed with a dremel or sander).
Option 2: Call LGMotorsports.com. Although they don't list it on their website, they make an adaptor that allows LS1 front brake setups to use C5 rotors. The problem with this option for you, is that you'd have to convert to the LS1 front brakes before doing this.
