Question about removing AIR pump...
I just did this over the weekend, and yes you can (and should) remove the bracket too. You'll be amazed at how much cleaner the engine looks and how much more room you'll have on that side. The hardest part (and the only thing I haven't done yet) is to actually remove the crossover tube that connects both sides. When I did my 95 I just took a dremel and cut it into sections to get it off, but it took a while to get it all out. You can leave it in and it won't hurt anything. On my 97, there are actually some wires and brackets that mount to it, so I'll have to figure out somewhere else to mount them when I take it off.
Take the bracket off (since it will have no real purpose). As mentioned above, the engine bay will be that much cleaner.
On a side not..... does anyone know how to remove the wiring harness for the AIR pump?

Yeah... the harness going to the pump. I have a document that shows the harness removed but it doesn't go into detail of what to remove. That's kinda what I'm leaning towards right now (leaving it). It was worth a try though...

If it was simple, I was going to remove it.... if not, it's staying.
