Question Question about removing AIR pump...

Can I also remove the bracket that its mounted to? Or do I want to just leave the bracket on there? thanks

I just did this over the weekend, and yes you can (and should) remove the bracket too. You'll be amazed at how much cleaner the engine looks and how much more room you'll have on that side. The hardest part (and the only thing I haven't done yet) is to actually remove the crossover tube that connects both sides. When I did my 95 I just took a dremel and cut it into sections to get it off, but it took a while to get it all out. You can leave it in and it won't hurt anything. On my 97, there are actually some wires and brackets that mount to it, so I'll have to figure out somewhere else to mount them when I take it off.

Definetly ditch the bracket. The crossover tube also needs to go, but is a major POS to get out.

Take the bracket off (since it will have no real purpose). As mentioned above, the engine bay will be that much cleaner.

On a side not..... does anyone know how to remove the wiring harness for the AIR pump?

Why do you want to remove the harness? Just unplug it and take it off with the pump.

Just to clean up the bay that much more... I have it tucked away rght now but I know it's there. If it was simple, I was going to remove it.... if not, it's staying.

I think I misunderstood, are you talking about removing the harness that goes to the pump? If so, I've never traced it back. I just tuck it up out of the way and leave it.

Yeah... the harness going to the pump. I have a document that shows the harness removed but it doesn't go into detail of what to remove. That's kinda what I'm leaning towards right now (leaving it). It was worth a try though...
