Question about Pulleys ... ASP in particular
I wanted to pick up a pulley whenever I order my next set of parts, and was really only looking at ASP's stuff.
Are they a decent harmonic balancer? I plan on building a 383 stroker on boost. I dont want to have to buy a different balancer again later on down the road though either? Max RPMs going to be around 6400-ish?
Also, I know alot of people like their 23%, but what about the other one that is 3X%? Someone told me that was a piggy back.
I searched for this but couldnt come up with too much info?

Re: Question about Pulleys ... ASP in particular
Yes the 34% is a piggy back. You want the 23% crank underdrive. Its listed at $144.XX. I got mine from Summit for $12X during a sale. I like mine alot, but I'm not sure if its a perfect choice for a 383. I'd talk to however is building you motor or someone who is a motor builder. Perhaps even give ASP a call, they a a good company to talk to.
I'll be spinning to 6400-6500 with a Bret Bauer cam soon, so I think it would hold up.

Re: Question about Pulleys ... ASP in particular
I have the ASP balancer/pulley combo like Dustin and have had it for 10 years on my N/A 383. Been flawless, but I never dyno'd it before or after install...

Altjar, if I went that route, what would be the best options?
any suggestions ?
I know this much, I definatly DO NOT want a piggy back. It owuld just put MORE strain on the rotating assembly by adding weight to it
