question about practicality of re programming

I have a stock internal lt1 and I am getting 3.73 gears in the rear. I dont have a power programmer and I dont want one. I was thinking that since I have to get the computer reprogramed for the new gears, Is there any revisions that can be made to a computer that runs my stock engine that a place like pcmforless can do? I was thinking that since I will have the computer out any ways I would like to see If I can pick up any gains with some reprogramming. thanks

You could squeze a little hp out of the stock, but it would help to have something done. At least put in a 160* thermostat and CAI. Fairly cheap and easy to do.
