Question about the Opti Vac. line.

OK, on the vac. line that runs from the manifold to the opti there is a little blue and white disk. what is this things function? Mine got burned on the header and now I just have a straight line. my car feels weak up top and misses ever now and then. i get a vac./maf code ever now and then.can this effect my timing?

I believe it is a check valve so flow only goes one way. Not sure if it could affect the opti but it is there for a reason

Re: Question about the Opti Vac. line.

May also prevent moisture from getting into the opti.

Re: Question about the Opti Vac. line.

You can damage the opti without the flow reducer. The part number for the complete opti harness will all those things on it is listed on my part numbers page.

Re: Question about the Opti Vac. line.

If you don't use the flow reducer you could possibly put too much vacuum on the opti internals. Use your imagination after that.
