question about moving car

unlike my old car, i can't think of an easy way to brace the tranny so the TA can be moved around without the engine in it. there's no room in the driveway to install the new engine, so the car will have to go on the trailer (hopefully by mid-september) to get moved to wherever the engine is. i know someone has tackled this problem before, so help a broke brotha out.

Not sure if this will work because i have never use this method on my 4th gen but have used it on older car and so have my friends. Take two tire irons and insert the point end into a bolt hold on the tranny bell housing on each side. you might also need to put a 2x4 across the front cossmember to set the curved end of the tire iron on. Sorry i don't think i described this to well but it works great. If you need me to describe it better let me know.

If the motor is out, why not drop the trans also? Should be 30 minutes and done with no engine in there.

zio- that's how we do it with the engine out of the 74. the TH400 sits farther forward of the firewall than the T56. looking at things (without actually trying to mock it up) leads me to believe this won't be possible with the 97.

dyno- we might just do that...
