I have around 700 bucks and I was looking at the LT4 hot cam kit I can get for about 500 from GM Parts Direct. Would I need tuning for it? like Ion tuning?

 

honestly i would not go with the hot cam kit i was going to get it a couple weeks ago and some friends convinsed me it is too small i went with a comp cam 07-306-8 you do need a bigger stall but it's alot bigger and not bad for the street it's lift is 510 540 but with 1.6 roller rockers it's in the upper 570's i know thats not what you were asking but if you still want it i would get the part number from gm or comp or somewhere and search e-bay or just yahoo. and i bet you can find it alot cheaper. need anything else let me know.

 

about the tuming i don't think you would need it right away. but lt1 edit does wonders it can free up alot of horsepower and torque

 

I got mine from Taylor for 450.oo. It is a good set up for stock heads and sounds killer. You will need a tune.

 

Does Ion from Mad Z28 do good cam tuning? I have the SS intake because I have a 1997 SS , is that as good (or better) as a CAI?
