Question about LT-1 price

As a thirdgen guy I don't know alot about the 4th gens..even though my wife has one. My question is this, my local salvage yad has a wrecked T/A with the LT-1 that I can buy complete for $600.00 neg. Is this a fair price for the motor, it has 103K on it.

Thanks!

That sounds like a pretty good price for a complete LT1 to me even with 100k on it. Thats assuming its still in good running condition. 100k isnt really that many miles for an LT1, There's a lot of guys here with over 100k on the original motor and still going strong, many with over 200k and I wouldnt doubt theres a few with 300+. Sounds like a great deal to pick up for your 3rd gen.

Re: Question about LT-1 price

600 for just engine or for the whole wrecked car? Just the engine isn't really that great a deal. You could part it and make more back though. The heads are worth about $200 alone.

Re: Question about LT-1 price

If you get the motor, assys, harness and ECM then it is a great deal if not then it is only average. If you get the trany, radiator and any other goodies then it is a steal.
