I dont know if this would be the place but any way, I got to thinking about the one yr. warranty on all GM part with recipt(sp?). I just bought a new opti and I got a devilish idea to take my old opti off wait a couple of months then go to a GM dealership and say it is still under warranty and see if they can give me a new one. Anyone know if it would work or if they have any serial numbers on them or something to know its not new?? Just a thought

How do you know that a person at the dealer parts dept that you are going to does not visit this board? If your intention is to deceive, you are better off keeping it to yourself.

no serial numbers afaik, but i would assume they can look at the castin number or whatever it's called and see when the part was made (so i guess that could be considered a serial number)
