Question about flowmaster catbacks...

I'm looking at purchasing flowmasters single out rear cat-back. I believe this one comes with a 30-series muffler. Have any of you installed it on your car? What did you think of it? Thanks

Re: Question about flowmaster catbacks...

I had the American Thunder and it is a tight crisp sound when you back off the throttle. Not quite that loud at an idle but the sound getting into and out of the throttle is true flowmaster style and sounds very good. I just installed the new SLP loudmouth modular type that clamps together. It is a little mickey mouse how it band clamps together. However it is a good buy b/c it is all 3" and is stainless. Now it is deeper and louder at an idle and a little looser sounding. A cam may tighten that up and it probably lowers the torque but that is just a guess. The sound getting into and out of the throttle is very simmiliar but quite a bit louder. It may be annoying to some people but I love it. My car also dosen't have headers yet so I am sure it will make it even louder which could get annoying for some. Well just my 2 cents. Oh mine was the dual outlet for a 97 so the tips are not polished and only 2 1/2.......SLP looks better

No problemo. It's long gone sold anyway. I'm just hoping the sun will align with the moon sometime soon so I can get this fricken cam installed.
