question about cai?

question about cai?

ive changed my mind and im gonna get a cai kit, i thought about getting the cheap one off ebay for 50 bucks, it is a cai from a company called intake power, has anyone purchased this from them and how does it stand up against a kn fipk, slp, or moroso cai??

I don't think that would work very well at all. The whole purpose of a cai is to relocate the air filter outside of the engine bay to get colder air. While that one is most likely less restrictive than the stocker, the filter element is still inside the engine bay. True, its at the (probably) coldest location in the engine bay, but it would be a lot better if you got (or made) one that goes outside of the engine bay. All of the ones you mentioned (K&N, Moroso, etc.) have the filter outside.

i had the same question about the same intake about 6 mths ago, back then it had a buy it now for 24.99$ ppl talked me out of it and now im glad i got my LPE
