I am in the procces of putting my car back together. I am looking for 12.5x or better. Here is what i have, what more will i need.

heater core, fan, and black hvac box under hood
wiper arms, brackets, and motor
forgot about the spare and jack, they are gone too.


This isn't me just dreaming wasting your time, these are my acctual mods. Is it possible for me to make it to 12.5 with that set up, if not what else can i do to get there? I want all motor, and i dont have the money to do the heads right now, that will come later. Some people will question why the wipers, heater, and ac are gone. This car is going to be 95% track use in the upcomming future. Thank you for the help

 

IMO,you might be there. seems like you took a BUNCH of weight out,got a decent setup with the cam.

Only thing i can find fault with is the 3.23 gears,i would think 3.73's would be the gear of choice.

 

With some ET streets you are probably there IMO

 

So you are gonna go with the Lunati Cam, thats cool, looks like your goal is very realistic with your mods, you should be there pretty easily I would imagine....let us know how the cam does!

Yep, i am gonig to give this stupid cam one more chance.. this is the 3rd time. I can never keep the car running right for more than 3 days with it in there. I think i have figured out a few of the problems though. Kept burrning wires, and fouling out plugs within that shor of a time, getting like 3 miles to teh gallon and running so rich it was killing it at idle. I think that was all from running single wire o2's. The computer has a heart attack when it runs of the preset setting instead of teh o2's. So i am going to try heated o2's, and new routing on the wires. I am trying to set realistic goals right now and i though 12.5 wasnt' a bad goal. I would like to have a set of 3.73 gears but i am not wasting the money on gears, i dont have it right now. I will get something liek that when i get a new rearend. If this helps any here is what my shift points are going to be. 1st gear 6800-6900, second gear 6400-6500. I dont want to hold it up high to long with a stock bottom end. stupid 2 bolt.
