quarter mile time??

I have a 1995 Z28 A4 and stock it ran a 13.92 at 98 mph. That was at Night Under Fire at Norwalk Raceway Park. The temp was low and there was great traction.

Then later in the summer I installed a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust and then took it back to Norwalk but the temp was around 90 and I ran a 13.81 at 99.2 mph.

Now I have the Magnaflow exhaust, Richmond 3:73's, and a SLP cold-air intake. I am taking the Z to the Halloween Classic at Norwalk and I want to know what the car should be running. Im not gonna get any chances to make any time trials because im a senior in high school and wont have time to make it out there because of football.

What time should my car run in the quarter with the mods???

And what other mods could I do for lower amounts of money that could take some time off the quarter???

Ive been racing for 2 years but its been in a 2001 Cavalier Z24. It suprised me when it ran a 15.81. But I had to move into something fast and thank god it was a Z28!!!

And girls like it too!!!

Manual Fan mod and 160 t-stat, I cannot express how much this helps. A cold motor (170 deg) all the time, even in the intense heat you will be 170 deg. Cold motors run alot better then hot ones. What was your temp when you usally run?

The thermostat does nothing when you're idling there at the track. It only keeps the car cool when the car is in motion and the radiator has air passing across it. Granted, this helps when you are moving down the 1/4 mile for the 13 seconds or so that that car has air flowing across the radiator, but when it's sitting in the parking lot or waiting to get staged, the thermostat won't help, so you may end up starting your race hot anyway.

GREAT numbers by the way for a stock lt1.

Dan
