Hey guys, hopefully you can help me. Im interested in getting the QTP electronic cutout for my Z from ls1speed.com. Has anyone used these, are you pleased with the results? How does it sound open, or even partially open? Any help would be great! Thanks!

 

i heard they were good, as are the mccord and others. the mccord gen 2 one is comparable to the Qtec (old one was garbage) and theres a GP on the mccord at 3rdgen.org i think. ill prolly jump in on that since it seems the Qtecs always backordered. the mccord is $30-40 cheaper than the Qtec also. cant go wrong with either though, both seem to be sweet.

My roomate recently put two of the QTP units on his 69 Firebird 400 (not stock). He seems to really like them, and even broke one (his fault) and QTP was still nice enough to send him a new one free of charge. IMO, that sounds like good customer service, which is something to think about. I saw the unit and it looks pretty well built.
