hey guys i did a search and sorry but all i could find was oil level for the ls1 not lt1 . So heres my question how many quarts of oil in my 97 lt1 ss. i put 5 in by the way. Also when i went underneath to change the oil i notice my suspension is a billstein unit . is that stock on my 97 ss? thanks for replies

 

i think the Bilstein shocks were an option on '96+'97 SS' (?) not sure if they were standard equip

i usually put 5 quarts of oil in the motor and then fill up the filter as much as possible (bout half a quart~), then go

 

Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs came in an optional handling package. (Level II)

You also got upgraded sway bars.

I use 5 quarts total on mine, including filling up the filter.
