So 3145 is NOT a double roller timing chain, but rather a single chain that is basically an OEM replacement timing chain set, right?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Part #3145 is THE DOUBLE ROLLER SET for use with an LT1, which requires:

Slight timing cover clearancing
Electric water pump

Sorry for the caps but I can't figure out how to clear it up anymore.

Haha... thats fine. Sometimes I have to convince myself that my logic is correct.

You are going to have to pardon my ignorance when it comes to this. Its probably a good thing that I am not insatlling my LE2 kit myself.

So, part# 3145 includes the two sprockets and the double roller timing chain that I can use with my LT1. I think I got it now. Im sure Ill have a few more questions shortly.

In reference to the water pump on this thread, One, do you delete the water pump drive gear, Two, is there a compadible timing cover without the water pump shaft hole that you can replace the stock with in order to avoid the welding/sealing, Three Are there any disadvantages to a removing the water pump gear if you indead have to do that? Thanks

1) Yep, you have to!

2) Nope, just use a quarter and some quicksteel around it and it will seal up fine.

3) You have no choice but to remove the water pump gear when running a double roller. There's no downside whatsoever to removing it.
