Unhappy Put in a new stall and now the car doesn't want to move

Been fighting with this since last tuesday. The stall didn't want to spin. Couple people went up and got it to where it is supose to be. Went up to the shop to finish it up yesterday and buttoned everything up. Put it down on the ground and nothing. None of the gears work. Car just sits there and revs when I touch the gas. Anyone know what got fuged up in the process to make it not wanna move? Thanks

Joe

Do you have enough tranny fluid?

Did you fill the converter with fluid before you installed it? If not you probably burnt it out. Could also be that it's not fully engaged.. I believe you hear 3 clicks or so when it's engaged. Also, make sure you reinstalled the shift lever

Put about half a quart in the stall itself. Then put about 2.5 quarts in the tranny cuz I lost a good amount of fluid in the process. I wasn't there when they put it on the shaft, but they said it spun like it should. So I'm not sure about the 3 clicks but I'd assume that its right (but you know about assuming). The shifter lever should be right. Turned the **** (for lack of a better word) where the linkage connects to all the way forward so when the driveshaft was turned it didn't move. Only thing I can think of is that either they sent me back the wrong converter, and I'm being told the front tranny pump might be fubar, and also I'm being told I might have broken the ears off the pump. Yall think it might just need more fluid? There was a considerable amount lost while taking the driveshaft out, the tranny dipstick out and also the converter. Thanks for the help, any more ideas?

Exact same thing happened when I swapped my TC. Turned out to be about 2.5 qts low (I wound up adding almost 6 qts after the swap!).

The stock TC holds a good amout of fluid, plus what's lost during the trans removal, etc. I'd definitely check it again.. even 1 qt low makes a very noticeable difference.
