Pushrod Length?
Looking for people to share their experiences with pushrod length. It seems like nobody has had to change the length even on radical setups. I'm going to be running 1.6rocker, .528/.536 lift, and .030" head mill. Trying to order new pushrods, but I don't have the heads back yet & I don't want to wait for shipping. This job has already taken longer than expected. Do you think I will need to alter the stock length?

In order to do it RIGHT,you are going to have to wait until it is all assembled and use an adjustable push rod to measure the size you need.I doubt the stock length is correct.

I have a similar set-up. My heads are milled .030, felpro gaskets, 230/236 cam with 1.6 ratio rockers, and the stock length worked out to be perfect. I'm also using comp R lifters but I wouldn't think that would make a difference. I checked mine with an adjustable pushrod checker. You can check your valvetrain geometry by using one of your stock pushrods. Get a black magic marker and color the top of the valve stem where the rocker would make contact. Install the rocker, set the lash and rotate the engine 360 degrees. Remove the rocker and check the wear pattern on the valve stem. If you go on Comp Cams' site, they will show you what the proper geometry will look like. The wear mark should be in the center off the valve stem tip. There are many variables dictating proper pushrod length so just asking what everyone's setup isn't necessarily the right way to go about it . Good luck
