Mac, SLP, TA Performance, Summit and I think Jegs all carry a rearend cover. They're all pretty much the same. There really isn't much room to make them different so it's best to just go with the cheapest one you find.

I use a cover myself. It was a very easy and quick install. I didn't use any Sealant- only a Felpro gasket and still have no leaks. Whether or not it adds enough extra protection to justify the $130+ it costs is debatable.

I went with summit, looks good, nice quality. I have had this on over a year with no problems and the drain plug makes things alot easier back there. I little pricy for $150 however. I am sure you can find a second hand one for cheaper from a board member, ebay, etc. They all seem to provide the same features.

I got mine used very cheap. But in theory they should really help a lot. By supporting your bearings you won't get the deflection allowing the teeth to walk and break off. In an engineering machinery design course one of the most important concepts that they teach is minimizing deflections. I guess your right though, it is debateable because we don't know how much the flex in the stock one contributes to it breaking, It's not gonna hurt though!

I have the TA performance one. As stated above, get whichever one is cheapest.
