On the stock pushrods, on one side of it there is a small round notch on the outside of the rod, Im not sure if it matters how they go in there but they arent symmetrical which usually means there is one way to go on. Whats the answer?

I know what you're talking about. If you look at all the rods, you'll find that 8 have dots about .5 inch down and the other 8 have them almost 1 inch down. Presumably, they go toegether in sets with common dot placement on one side or the other.

I lost track of where they were supposed to go; dots up or dots down, so I asked a buddy who has been a mechanic going on 35 years, and as far as he was concerned it will make no difference. So, I just stuck them all in the same way and bolted it back up.

No problem so far.
