pulling motor, advise and help please

i should have started this a few days ago... anyway ive just about got everything unhooked and ready to come out. ive got a question, the wiring the goes under the brake booster, where do i disconect it? I am pulling the wiring harness out with the motor.

does anyone know the torque specs of the 6 bolts on the k-member that hold the craddle to the body?

the diagram doesn't help. do i need to pull the booster out to get to the wires and pull them? or do i disconect them from the motor and leave them. if i remember right atleast one of them went into the main wiring harness. im not at the car anymore, just hoping to get an idea of where i need to start tomorrow

I would just disconnect them at the motor and leave them. The engine wiring harness disconnects at the computer, disconnect it and let it rest ontop of the motor, and just make sure all the wires are out of the way when you pull it out.

there is no place to disconect it. it goes in throught the firewall under the brake booster. i just talked to a friend and he said there is not factory wiring there so i think this is from an old alarm installed on the car or something. im just going to cut it and trace it out when i get the motor out.

im sure ill get stuck again so ill post any other questions i have in the next few days here

thanks guys

The only wires you have to disconnect inside the car are on pass side under kick panel. 3 connecters I think and you pull them thru the firewall.

You don't disconnect any wires going under the brake booster to remove the engine. There are no engine harness wires going there.

i dont think it really matters for the k member. i just tightned mine down and it seems to be working fine. the one thing you do need to make sure you dont over torque is the accentric bolts for the alignment adjustment
