Pulling LT1 w/ M6 - Bellhousing Bolts?

I'm pulling an LT1 from a 1996 Z28 with an M6 tranny, I'm pulling it out the top and I need some advice - should I remove the bolts that hold the tranny to the bellhousing or the bolts that hold the bellhousing to the block?

well, normally I do drop it, but this one is all ready to pull out the top right now except for the tranny bolts - that's the only thing left to do and it's out, just waiting for some input, drinking some water, took the trash out . . . yep . . . . just hanging out waiting for some help

I'd support the M6 and unbolt it at the bellhousing.

When I pull my engine, it's coming out the top.

That means the bellhousing is coming off and I'm going to drop the 6 speed out at the same time.

I don't have a ginormous garage so the front wheels have to stay on to roll the car in and out of my tiny garage.

I just did this a week ago - got the block free from the bellhousing, but it took me a minute or two to figure out I had to get the clutch fork out of the way to be able to move it forward.

I had the same hangup on the clutch fork when I redid the clutch.
Kinda bizarre how it pops in and out on that spring clip

I have an auto (which this may be completely useless to you) and what I did was unbolt the tranny from the block, take the intake off, get the top 2 bellhouseing bolts out from the top, then rest from bottom. Like I said I have no idea what the m6 looks like, but hope it helps anyhow.
