Pulling engine questions

I removed the intake ....do I need to remove the heads as well before I pull the engine?

Is it possible to simply take the ac and power stearing pump lose and let them hang down (tied off) without disconnecting the lines?

Finally, Do I need to remove the radiator?

My hoist has the ability to angle the engine as it comes out also.

TIA

I helped put a fully assembled LT1 IN a car, headers and all, no accessories on it yet, and no radiator. It was pretty easy. I recommend taking the radiator out, unless your lift can really angle it then you could try it. I'll let someone else who has done this more chime in.

If you have the resources (lift, etc.) it's much easier to go out the bottom.

I know, unfortantly thats not an option for me....I need to use that $2000 to buy a 12 bolt rear with otherwise I would buy a lift...lol. Keep the info coming on pulling from the top.

My brother and I did it to his 95 Formula. Pulled intake off and took off flyweel. We took out the radiator which is very easy. We pulled it out and put it in with the exhuast manifolds, and power steering on. Although I would recomend taking off the exhaust manifolds they were a real pain to work in and out. Did it with your standard 150 $ Engine hoist, and no hood. If you have any questions you can e-mail me at duececoupe66@yahoo.com.
hope this helps
