Pulled Spark Plugs - Tan Color

I have a high rpm miss so I decided to pull my spark plugs. I pulled 1,3,5 and 7 out (i guess that's the right order) and 1,3,5 were a dark tan color while 7 was a light tan. I know glossy black is rich, white is lean, but what is brown? My spark plugs have always been a dry black before. I'm also loosing coolant (can't find out where from) if I have a blown head gasket would that cause a tan color? I think i'm going to just replace the plugs since my car overheated and could have messed them up.

Tan is the ideal color for plugs.

In this case, since you normally have black deposits, I'd guess that they are being steam cleaned due to your coolant leak.

Yea I thought I remembered reading somewhere that tan is the ideal color. Funny how my car is running like crap yet the spark plugs say my mixture is good.
