Yeah it would be extra to get it setup for that since the ports are almost dead nuts perfect on a LT1 head without any porting or port matching. I planned it that way. With some more work I can set it up for AFR's or LT4's. The TFS castings in stock form would botl right up and would only need work if you didn't raise the roof of the port.

When i asking on time.. just wondering 1week,2week that kind of stuff from start to finsh....
I should have most of what I need in this week in terms of hardware and I should have the welding done tomorrow. I want the intake in the mail next week for Mookie to run on his new head/cam car.

mookie, any way for you to give us before and after results? will these be track results or dyno runs??

i am excited to say the least about these mod, because it caters itself so well to the LT1-casting apparently which is what many people seem to run who can not finance or have time for a monster AFR/Trickflow swap.

good work!

I'll definately have data afterwards, but the car is pretty much stock right now, so before results are just going to be stockish LT1 numbers....

Re: Pro's & Con's of porting the LT1/LT4 intake

I tried my best to follow what was said in this thread. But I couldnt really find what I was looking for, so just in case it was answered and I didnt see it.

I have been looking at a LE1 H/C package for some time, and I think I'll do this in the summer. I have been trying to think of ways to push out some extra power without stepping up to a steeper cam or dropping more cash on heads. I thought of the intake manifold. Now, with a set-up like this, 370-390rwhp expected with supporting mods, what would be the best cost effective intake option to go for? A ported LT1 intake right? And on this setup how much more would you expect to gain from the ported intake? In other words would it be worth the cash and trouble? If Intimid8 saw 15-20rwhp gains on N/A LT1's, I can only imagine crossing over into 400rwhp range with a very streetable cam. Thanks fella's, this seems like the thread with the most educated intake folk.
