Proper way to flush oil?

Changed out my head gasket and some coolant got down in the cylinders. Thought i cleaned it all out but apparently some got in the oil.

Ran it for 5 mins then changed the oil and it was milky.

Just wondering what the proper steps are.

Currently i'm draining all the oil and running a few quarts down the valve covers till its clean then going to run it for 5 more min and change the oil again.

Would this be the proper way. Or do i need to get some kind of motor flush to be sure?

Multiple oil changes is the right way IMHO to flush the oil system out. Never use chemicals or bye bye bearings.

Do not use Motor Flush. That crap is just kerosene in a can.

If you drained the oil refilled then started and it got milky already I have to wonder if there still isn't a leak.

I vote drain it again and if it is still milky I think that says still a problem.

1-2 oil changes after doing the head gaskets is all that's needed. When doing the oil changes, just take the filter and plug off and let it drain for about 10-20 min. Fill it back up with oil and you'll be set. DO NOT use any type of engine oil flush. As stated above, alot of that crap out there kills bearings.
