proper LT1 cooling system bleeding

proper LT1 cooling system bleeding

guys...long story short. I have air in the system. What is the exact procedure for bleeding it? There are two bleed screws, when does one use them exactly?

I heard that one should put the car on an uphill slope so as to draw air to top of radiator and hoses, then turn on car, let it warm up with radiator cap off, but when does one open the bleeders? What is the difference.

All stuff I have researched is not specific.

If the system is already filled, you merely open the bleed screws when the system is under pressure and close them when nothing but coolant comes out. There should be no bleeding necessary unless the system has been opened for service (just taking the radiator cap off does not count ).

With the car running and up to temp open radiator cap and make sure your fluid is full. If it is then put the cap back on and open the bleeder screws until you see a steady stream of coolant. You can do them one at a time or both at the same time, it doesn't really matter.

Ummm.....you never want to open the radiator when the car is at running temperature. When the car is COLD, check the fluid level. Install the radiator cap, bring the car to operating temperature, open bleeder valves until pure coolant comes out, close valves. The end.
