proper breaking in motor
So even with 500 miles it would be alright to bring it up to 4-5k without a problem? My normal driving i usually redline a few gears for enjoyment purposes. Plus i have a new clutch that was put it which is i guess broken in already. I put 500 miles on the motor in about 3 days just driving around. It varied highway and stop an go.
This is what we did.
Start it like normal, check for all leaks listen for sounds etc, by now chances are you have done rev'ed it lightly a few times.
Mail order tune (by the time you get this right it has done ran for an hour or more)
Then I pulled out and mashed it. I am with everyone else, one notch before you stole it. Chances are if something breaks in the first two miles it was the builders fault. Remember the only thing you are breaking in is the rings. (unless you have non roller).
